Get ready for the sweetest W5 Food Market yet: Hen Corner will be talking bees, bee-keeping, and honey, with bee-keeping gear for the little ones to try, and Raw Artisan Honey will discuss characteristics of different honeys and how bee-keepers achieve them. Lots of honey to taste and take home, plus all our regular traders to keep your store cupboard stocked

May will bring Hen Corner’s Sara Ward discussing urban smallholdings - with the added bonus of a visit with her chickens. Our bar host of the month, Long Arm Brewing Company will also be on hand offering tastings of their locally brewed beer, and a talk about achieving different flavours in brewing.

We’re looking forward to the April 9 market, when our resident bread vendor Desi Baker Boy will be discussing ‘Baking Speciality Breads at Home’, whilst new to the W5 Food Market Rum Cask will enlighten us to some of the history of rum, including its background with the Navy, and the meaning of ‘Gunpowder Proof’. Rum Cask will also host the bar at the April market, delighting us with their collection of cocktails all featuring rum.

For the last of our Ealing Bites shopping evenings, Leigh Montague, fashion designer and Founder of British made brand Monty & Co., will discuss her passion for "British manufacturing and why provenance matters".

This week is our very own Lucy, from Handmade in Ealing, will be running a chocolate workshop & tasting. You'll get to taste different types of chocolate, learn a little about where chocolate originates from, as well try your hand at molding or dipping chocolates (or get messy trying).

This week's Ealing Bites is featuring "A guide to craft beer" from Riccardo of the Dragonfly Brewery. He'll be taking us through craft beer, from its definition and basic brewing science, through to the difference between lagers and ales. Topped off with with a brewery tour and sampler tray of 3 x 1/3 pints of home-brewed beers.
Please note there is a £5 brewery tour and tasting fee, payable on the night.

This week our guest speaker is photographer Jonathan Cole, talking about "How to take great photos". Whether a keen amateur or simply a smartphone snapper, Jon will give you a few indispensable tips for taking better shots. He’ll also tell a story or two of his experiences of what can happen along the way when you make your passion your career.
